Part 1/5Okay, so, this is a conversation that sprung up in response to my last Homestuck plot related journal (http://manga-kat.deviantart.com/journal/Some-stuff-about-Homestuck-292561976). It got really interesting, and I've been wanting to use it as a form of reference for myself in the future, so I decided to copy it all and put it into a couple of entirely different journal entres... just so it'll be easier to keep track of. I tried to do it all in one entry, but I found that the journals on DA do have a limit to their length (and I think I exceeded it by a lot

Anyway it's interesting 'cuz it shows both of our thought processes, and you can kind of see when certain updates came out based on the topic

If their fictional character bothers you so much that you're going to point it out, you should have the time and patience to sit with them, no matter how stupid they may seem, and help them with their trolls' flaws.
Because guess what?
Some people, if you aren't a fucktard to them, will actually accept the help.
And if they don't want the help?
No matter how bluntly rude they may respond to your criticism, delete the message and ignore them.
If they don't want the help, don't give it to them.
If they can't handle the criticism you gave, stop wasting your time on them and move on.

this is really helpful thank you. once I got into a roleplay in which I was eridan and the other person was sollux and I was just stuck on what to do or say, but now if something like that ever comes around again I can just look back at this
